Rebecca Ledzion started out as a photographer in rural and urban Australia. Her images are bold and colourful with strong shapes and interesting textures, reflecting her changing interests in people, nature and the built environment.
She has shown her work at Cambridge Open Studios (2012 - 2015) and had exhibitions at Michael House Centre and Café (2012) and Balzanos Delicatessen and Cafe (2014).
Rebecca took up painting and drawing while in Australia in 2010 and graduated from her Art Foundation course at Cambridge Regional College with a distinction (May 2017).
With a background in speech and language therapy, she returned to her passion for working with children in 2016, when she started running After School Art Clubs. Her Cambridge clubs brought together children from Years 3 to 6 and is re-starting in the Autumn term 2023.
In the meantime, Rebecca has completed a Masters in Art Psychotherapy with the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education (2021), which has focused on using the arts in therapy with adults. She currently offers art psychotherapy at Cambridge Counselling Service. She works with Trauma Informed Schools UK as a home group tutor as well as co-facilitating groups for a local charity, Lifecraft.
